Geotechnical monitoring during the construction of the Prague Collectors

The subject of the contract was geotechnical monitoring during the excavation of collectors in the centre of Prague. Our main task was mainly to accurately measure the convergence of the lining of the collector tunnels during their excavation, which allowed us to monitor and predict the reactions of the rock environment in the tunnel overburden. Another important task was to monitor the subsidence and movements of objects on the surface above the collectors.

Lochkov Tunnel

Lochkov Tunnel

This is a part of the south-western part of the D0 motorway (Prague ring road), specifically the construction 514 Lahovice – Slivenec. The main tunnel has two tunnels, with a total length of 1,661 m and 1,620 m respectively. We acted as the investor's officially authorized surveyor on the tunnel construction. We designed and aimed the point fields in front of the tunnel portals and in the tunnels to ensure accurate tunnel alignment. After the completion of the tunnels, we checked the correctness (correct position and dimensions) of the concrete tunnel lining.

This is an out-of-level road junction in the Liberec Region. The road number I/35 in the section between Turnov and Liberec meets the road number I/65 from Jablonec nad Nisou. On site, we performed surveying work on the construction of bridge structures.

This is the longest bridge in the Czech Republic. Construction between 2006 and 2010. In this case, we performed the function of the investor's officially authorized surveyor – we designed and surveyed the basic alignment network of the bridge. We carried out control measurements of the concreting of pillars and bridge decks. Interesting fact: During the construction of the pillars, we also carried out surveying work on scaffolding at heights of over 35 m above the ground.
